Activate macro by sampling colors in a current selection, or by sampling the colors of all of the items on the current page: press the largest button on the macro (Fills & Outlines). Colors sampled will instantly be listed, filling up the macro form. If there are many colors, the form will add pages as needed. Access additional pages of colors by pressing the small NEXT button on the right of the form.
Uniform fill colors will be added to your sample, as well as outline colors and outline widths. Click any of the fill colors to select just the shapes in your sampled items that possess that corresponding fill color. Do the same for outline colors. Hold CTRL to instead select shapes that have the listed outline width (again, from the shapes that currently populate your sampled shapes).
Click fill colors and outline colors and with each click the corresponding shapes will become selected. Please do not mix outline widths with a color sample selection. Press as many buttons as needed on all pages of macro in order to select the shapes needed.
Hold SHIFT when pressing a color button on the macro to select items on the page that are NOT ONLY the ones included in your sampled selection of items. If nothing is selected on the page, that fill or outline color shape will be selected from the entire page. If there is a currently active selection, then it will be selected from any within that active selection.
Process Same Fills. This part of the macro will group, combine, or weld together shapes with the same fill color. Make a selection to use the macro on those specific shapes, or select nothing and the macro will operate on all shapes on the current page.
Additional options on the macro should be self explanatory. Sort your selection list by none, lightness, hue, or outline widths. Sample all colors, just CMYK, just RGB, or just SPOT colors that reside in your selection or entire page sample. Row height (in the options section: press Options) will allow you customize the amount of sampled colors that appear on the main form, and Search within powerclips does just what it says. Try it. Complex selections can be made using this macro, i.e. involving shapes residing within a powerclip container in combination with other shapes, etc.
Add GDG Color Click Supreme to your workflow and it will soon become indispensible. The more you practice and implement this set of features, the more you will BOOST YOUR WORKFLOW!
